Amy says she's offended by something, and we get pages and pages of debate on why she shouldn't be, whether she is really offended, and ridiculous comparisons of not being offended by "crazy" jokes because he has relatives who are "crazy". This is a personal issue none of us can understand, so why do we haves pages of debate on something none of us has any f'n idea what it's like? ipiratemedia Posted April 23, 2018 Share Posted April 23, 2018 In my opinion Amy, I honestly feel that the person who referred to you in a disappointing manner used a word that can be tricky, especially when people here are correctly not aware on how to address Transgender, etc. As transgender lives and experiences increasingly come into the public sphere, conversations about gender are getting more complicated. And with those conversations comes the realization that we don't always know what to say when describing trans identities. See wisdom that can only come from having to fight for your right to be recognized as female, a raw strength that comes from unabashedly asserting your right to be feminine in an inhospitable world. It's easy to fictionalize an issue when you're not aware of the many ways in which you are privileged by it. IMHO, I enjoy who you are, as many here do. That's is all that matters to me. I think I need help dealing with that. Maybe I am blind to people's choices in life. It's like religion you can practice what ever religion you want it doesn't matter to me, however you need respect my choices and don't force yours on me.
