I believe that to be an excellent decision. IMHO, picpie, imgbb and postimages are three of the worst file hosting services on the Internet. With picpie and imgbb, your files are deleted within mere hours of being uploaded. It's very rare that I ever get to download any file that was uploaded to either of these services. I'm not sure if they don't allow adult content on their servers or if they're just scared to death of RLC and the DMCA or maybe something else, but your files don't stay active for very long on these hosts' servers. Postimages is a bit different. Whenever I click on a pic that was uploaded to postimages, the only thing I see is their landing page asking me to upload my own pics. I can't recall ever seeing the enlarged version of the pic I clicked on in the post. I've tried every trick I know of, including alternate download methods, to be able to view and download pics from postimages. I can't remember ever being successful. And now, when I get to their landing page, there is an error msg at the top of the page saying their site is being blocked by the Registry, that they weren't given any notice of the block, that they're trying to resolve the issue and that their new home is postimg.cc. However, when you try to go to postimg.cc, it takes you right back to the postimages landing page. Yep, you got it. The one with the error msgs in the big red box. A couple of good file hosting services currently being used by some of our prolific media posters are, imgway.cz and zupimages.net. Keep in mind, though, that imgway is written in Czech and zupimages is written in French, so some translation may be necessary unless you speak those languages. Google makes that easy enough, however. Pichoster used to be a decent host, but apparently, it has gone belly-up. I hope this is helpful. Best of luck. Quick summary : - It seems that pichoster was taken down because of defying the DMCA for too long. - VHTVdoes not get DMCA to remove their Content - As to other free hosting services, there is also keep4u.ru. Multi-language.But will remove adult content that you have not marked as such. (I have looked up on Whois, it was created in 2006) When I used picpie.org (creation feb 2017), my pics were never deleted until the server went down for a few hours and my pics and account disappeared. Picpie.org is still on line now. I guess it was a technical pb. I have looked at zupimages.net (creation 2009). They say that presently there is no time limit for the hosted pictures.
