R L C REPLAY, CAUTION

I don't even see where they need to even charge for Replay. It should be incorporated in with the Monthly Subscription they charge.

All the other Sites VHTV, VV and Camarads include it within the Price of their Monthly Subscription no matter whether you Pay Monthly, 3 Months or 6 Months.  For RLC to charge an extra $30 a Month only constitutes a Cash Grab. If a person works all day why should they have to pay an extra $30 because they missed something.

They market (if you can call it that) after the American/Canadian market.  The world sees folks in these countries as wealthy beyond imagination.  The unfortunate part of this is there are enough horn dogs and people who live paycheck-to-paycheck to support their business model (think blue-color alcoholics).

As a capitalist, I applaud their business model.  At the same time, a  business owner needs to adapt moral and ethical statutes (and values) to their service (even if it is smut).

In actual fact, For those who live in a time zone that is incompatible with watching Leora for instance, should be given the choice of either premium membership OR replay, it would in my opinion increase RLC's revenues, and be more acceptable to those interested in joining but being prevented by either time zones or extortionate profiteering by RLC . Charles Forte's doctrine of " pile it high and sell it cheap " comes to mind, and it made him a multi - millionaire.

Interesting thoughts...but if you noticed, its not by coincidence most of these couples stay up until 2..3..4AM.  Its due in part to catering to the North America time zone.    And if you look at RLC, those couples don't go to sleep until 6AM.  Do you think its normal for Russians and the European market to stay up that late?  Working folks go to sleep at 10-11PM.

Smut is in the eye of the beholder Howard. 😄

You have a valid point with your assessment of their marketing strategy toward the North American Continent, inasmuch as they believe them to be wealthier than most countries, which of course isn't always true when looking at a persons disposable income. For instance, people living in Europe ie Germany, France, UK,  are not exactly peasants who exist on the breadline, far from it.... Our lousy government gives out state benefits bigger than some peoples salaries. and then give .07% of our Gross National Income as overseas aid to so called struggling countries, who in many cases have a stronger economy than ourselves, or it goes straight in the pockets of some corrupt despot in a Third World Country. Who knows, perhaps RLC might even qualify for a share Lol.

We can discuss and discuss this topic but wrong forum for it. 😞

But as I mentioned, as a capitalist its a good business plan.  But I firmly believe if you don't add morals and ethics into your business strategy, better chances it will fail.

My guess is the average subscriber sticks around for 3-6 months. And, they are competing for US dollars from Pornhub and the tens of thousands of other subscription-base services out there.

With about 100,000,000 million adults (just in the US), if they can find just 1% on a rotating basis over the course of 10 years, they'll make mucho $$$ (and that's just in the USA).  For those with the entrepreneurial spirit, there is PLENTY OF ROOM IN THE MARKET for one more (and one more after that).

I'd like to set that up. Startup money is the issue unfortunately...

Couldn't couldn't agree more,RLc it's great in many things but in others like replay it's really bad,it's an service that should be included in premium.Probrably if they on day open an video archive it will cost another 20,30$ monthly.

After my post a couple days ago, I started wondering how relevant RLC is in the 'voyeur' arena. Specifically, are they losing 'market share' to VH, Camarads, and the other 20..30..40+ sites that offer the same smut.

Unofficial of course, we have to use the only data we have - and that's CamCaps. If you take data from the last six months, you will see more people have migrated to VH forums then to RLC. Of course there are several reasons why.  But it gets down to.. 1. Service  2. Availability  3. Clientele.

1. Service:  Where does your monthly expense go further - with 23 RLC cams or 26 VH cams. Taking it a step further, how many apartments offer more residents (giving the subscriber a wider variety to choose from).  RLC: $30/month for only viewing 7 apartments. VH: $30/month for 26 apartments. Like buying a car, you can add to that buying other options for more apartments/features.  VH wins this battle buy a long mile.

2. Availability:  VH seems to have a directive that RLC does not:  Bang on camera as often as you can during a 24hr period.  *I* think VH requests that residents get frisky various parts of the day. They also ask of them to try and keep their "work schedule" aligned with US time zones.  Most apartments will frolic and bang until 5..6AM; which equates to 8-11PM US time (depending on time zone).  Viewership (like Twitter) is highest between 7-11PM in the US.  VH knows that.  RLC doesn't seem to have that directive. They also keep apartments longer then they should (those with minimal activity - Maya being an example). RLC reminds me of years gone by when JenniCam 'invested' use that term loosely) the voyeur cam.  VH wins this battle again by a large margin over RLC.

3. Clientele: There's no winner in this category.  Even though both sites have a left-leaning mentality, RLC caters more towards the sophisticated subscriber (based on their apartments). There are married couples, there are couples who are/have been committed to each other for a long time.   VH, as I see it, wants slutty people in their apartments (I'm not judging...at this moment). Slutty usually brings in more money.  While I/most (I assume) consider ourselves above bar, we want to live vicariously through the actions of others. While I don't want to bang on-line for all to see, I would jump at the chance (with my g/f permission, of course) to bang Leora, Lana, Clara or Grace.

I spent more time on this post then anticipated,....but it comes down to numbers ($ub$criber$). VH's business model, if they can tolerate the expense of having couples come & go frequently, works better then RLC.  RLC is like a boutique service company that wants to provide an 'enahnced user experience' at an enhanced price (aka BMW).  VH is more like a Toyota where they want to offer value to the common person.  Toyota outsell BMW by a wide margin.

Based on CC forum participants, that's how I come to that conclusion.  RLC needs to "slut it up" more and add value to their product to justify the high cost for controlled & moderate business growth. VH, after throwing money into the business to see what works, finally figured out they wants more market share and that means offer more variety at a fair price.

I think you missed one issue  on this discussion  Howard and it's the format and reliability of the websites. RLC has four views you can watch at one time. Furthermore the ability to switch in and out of cameras is very easy. Click on a thumbnail and you are almost instantly loaded to that page all with cameras that are all sharper than VH.  VH only has one screen you can view at a time which has made it next to impossible to keep up with more than a couple apartments at a time especially when VH has opened almost 30 apartments .  Furthermore they have constant issues with  slow loading  and freezing cameras, especially over the last couple months. And I've never seen a complete RLC outage the way I have with VH.

VH has many technological issues to overcome. But most smut viewers, already on a tight budget, will tolerate such issues in lieu of the lower subscription price and variety of apartments to choose from (and again, the directive residents receive of banging early into the morning (local time) to attract the US market).

I fully agree with your assumption regarding RLC being aimed at the North American market, having said that, it would be interesting to know by how much the American market exceeds the European, do Europeans shy away from it because of the American time bias, although I personally am not affected by it whatsoever. What I believe is one of the only reasons people stay with RLC at this moment in time is because of their best asset...Leora,... although favourites are a subjective matter, without her they would I think struggle, it will be interesting to see what happens when she eventually decides to pack it all in, I wouldn't be surprised if it were during the next year, conversely I also would not be surprised to see her go on and on like a sad old boxer, who doesn't realise that his best days are behind him and his legs are gone. I hasten to add that in my humble opinion that day has not arrived yet, although sometimes I wonder if she still maintains the same enthusiasm as she used to have.  But when that day arrives I believe it will be a reality check for us and RLC and to a certain extent CC perhaps, as many of their members are Leora devotees....... Time will tell.
