Anyhoo, by way of example, let's go through yours one by one as you've made quite a few assumptions and already called me quite a few names based on our exchanges. Here goes: Liberal views of defeat, submission to government, and a desire for a totalitarian soclistic socieity. I personally never want to live in a totalitarian society, not sure where you got that from, just as I'm not sure where you get such a one sided world view from, oh hang on Fox News *cough How come the EU can not stop Russia from doing what it wants ? Context dear boy, context. You were crowing on about being a Super(duper)Power. Europeans are not madly trying to tell anyone that will listen that they are the greatest. The fact that you're banging on about how your country is a Super(duper)Power yet are unable to explain why the US cannot stop the other superpower from doing what it wants - and so reply with a contextless question seeking to divert the original - points to the fact that you're just parroting what you're told by the media and are unable to distinguish between undesirable truth and cottonwool fiction. How about gaining some credibility and actually answering the questions to your assertions instead of just firing back with contextless questions of your own? How come the EU can not stop Russia from doing what it wants ? You answer my original question and I'll answer yours. Spoiler alert: My answer will contain the phrase, "But we're not the ones claiming to be a superpower, like we think it's cool and actually true." you would have the US military shed it's blood to protect your liberalism and right to live in freedom, instead of getting off your asses and fight communism and stop the Russian goverment from controlling your ass. You have no proper concept of the word "freedom," you really don't. I don't want the US doing what it is doing around the world in my name. Of course being British, the US isn't doing it for me but you, a US citizen, should be ashamed, mortified even at what your government is doing in your name. Those who disrespect the freedom, rights and way of life of others are not free. Ask a native American if he thinks that you, a caucasian male American, are free? You aren't free, you support a party and subsequent presidents (of both parties) that have bombed, tortured, renditioned, waterboarded, assasinated, tried to assasinate, lied to their electorate, cheated, mass murdered, coerced, drugged, incarcerated without trial, kidnapped during the night, the largest number of people in prison in the entirety of human history, and all the rest. Maybe not you personally but the majority of Americans are tied to debt, whether through mortgage payments, college funds, car loans, medical bills, lifestyle props and you are chained by these to eke out your existence from school to the grave with no chance of ever affecting the choices of the owners of the world that dictate to you the choices and opportunities that come your way. You are about as free as feudal slave but you don't notice it because of all the things you have bought on credit, increasing your debt and tightening the yoke that you don't even know exists. You are so unfree that the name of the human slaughter atrocity that your country launched, Operation Enduring Freedom, does not ring any ironic bells in your mind. P.S. It's not the 1950's Mr McCarthy, so there's no need for a Communist witch hunt!! :D No, I do not want the US to shed its blood for me. The "special relationship," between the US and UK has been long dead thanks to the shitty actions of our successive governments. You did not personally fight in the world wars so don't expect to bask in the reflected glory of those that did, those better Americans than yourself that are sadly almost all gone now. If Russia wants to invade Europe and President Thestarider says that the US won't help, good! We don't need you, maybe we did before the fall of the Soviet Union (when the US needed Europe just as much as vice versa) but when it comes down to it I'd much rather be on the side that has the the modern, professional Deutsches Heer, The British, French, Polish Scandinavian, Low Country armies, airforces and navies than be an unwilling conscript in Putins out of date, underequipped conscript forces. Not having the US will probably mean a 100% reduction in blue-on-blue incidents. You guys can carry on trying (and failing) to win assymetric wars pitting your "superior" carrier groups, your hightech special forces, your NSA and CIA, your state of the art billion dollar bombers and your dehumanising indiscriminate aerial drones against no-tech farmers and village people armed with cheap, knocked off Russian weapons. Seriously, everyone you fight against lately is only armed with semi-automatic weapons and C4 and maybe the odd RPG - how's that fight working out for you Mr Super(duper)power?!! And your country will be conquered from within. You had better brush up on Sharia Law and learn Arabic because that is your future.

Maturin
Mate, Trump and a large portion of his appointments are in hock to Putin and Russian oligarchs that have lent him millions over the years for his shitty hotels and golf courses and other business ventures. Are you not worried in the slightest that there are real signs that it will be Putin that is now calling the shots for the US and Trump is merely a rubber stamper? Also the Republicans are trying to make Trumps nominations effective without going through the, I can't remember what it is called but whatever comittee that checks their history to ensure that they will not have conflicts of interest between running the country and their private business/finance enterprises. Surely your response to this cannot be, meh, wait and see? They are obviously trying to subvert democracy - democrat or republican, surely what they are doing must be the red line for you? Thestarider
Thank God the American people were not fooled by this woman, isn't amazing how the truth comes out after the powerful Clinton Machine went down. It is no wonder.

Thestarider
At last count 68 demacrats in the house of representives have opted to skip out on the most representive demcratic demonstration in the free world, the transition of power from one president to the next president. These congressmen are very foolish as they choose not to represent to the free world, the trasition of power of the most powerful goverment in the world. They also must not care about being re elected in the next couple of years, and with the new president is dead set on term limits for congressmen. that means they are even more foolish. and self centered, which in our great nation is thier right. With all that being said , the demacratic party in the US has been loosing ground and political influence for the last three elections, or about 8 years now. You would think that they would have some change of heart and begin to represent thier constituentcy, instead of the those bought thier souls. This is how the US stacks up in 2017, pretty much says what the people of the US think and how they feel about what they want to see in the US political system and how they want to be governed. ENOUGH SAID

It has been that way for years so as not to upset the democratic liberals (left of center) which is the direction of marxism and communism lean. Can you imagine the outrage of them being given the color red??
