Maintenance and backups for CC happen at that time. Otherwise, it could be incremental and continuous and would slow down the board.

Reports suggest that there were some glitches with US servers; the site apparently was up for many in Europe. I really wish some of our networking experts would help explain this stuff to us who have crappy knowledge of networking.

The notorious 502 Bad Gateway error is an HTTP status code that means that one server on the internet received an invalid response from another server. 502 Bad Gateway errors are entirely independent of your particular setup, saying that you could see one in any browser, on any operating system, and on any device. One of many reasons people have more than one browser installed on their computers. If you're having problems with a particular site, try a different browser. I can see why Foamy choose not to elaborate on these type of questions; it would be an all-day tutorial. Lousy Gateway errors, are often caused by issues between online servers that you have No control over. However, sometimes, there is no real issue, but your browser thinks there are one thanks to an issue with your browser, a problem with your home networking equipment, or some other in-your-control reason. Keeping it short - In computing, a server is a computer program or a device that provides functionality for other applications or devices, called "clients." This architecture is called the client-server model, and a single overall computation is distributed, across multiple processes or devices. Servers can provide various functionalities, often called "services," such as sharing data or resources among multiple clients or performing computation for a client. A single server can serve multiple clients, and an individual client can use multiple servers. A client process may run on the same device or may connect over a network to a server on a different machine. Typical servers are database servers, file servers, mail servers, print servers, web servers, game servers, and application servers. Client-server systems, are today most frequently implemented by (and often identified with) the request-response model: a client sends a request to the server, which performs some action and sends a response back to the client, typically with a result or acknowledgment.( IT Techs call it Pinging a website.) HTTP response codes, the 502 Bad Gateway Error is an indication that something has gone wrong within the server of your application, as opposed to the client side of things. If you’re trying to diagnose an issue with your application, you can immediately ignore most client-side code and components, such as HTML, cascading style sheets (CSS), client-side JavaScript, and so forth. This doesn’t apply solely to websites, either. Many PC and Smartphone apps that have a modern looking user interface are powered by a standard web application behind the scenes; one that is only hidden from the user. If you’re using such an application and a 502 Bad Gateway Error occurs, the issue isn’t going to be related to the app installed on your phone, computers and testing device. Instead, it will be something on the server-side, which is performing most of the logic and processing behind the scenes, outside the purview of the local interface presented to the user. There are thousands of codes related to many errors. These codes, are used to identify problems on your PC or Networks, like Code Description - 66 The network resource type is not correct. 67 The network name, cannot be found. 68 The name limit for the local computer network adapter card was exceeded. 69 The network BIOS session limit was exceeded. Code 01 would stand for a cable is unplugged 02 would be IP conflict and so on. Hope this helps. Joey

When you actively stream a video, it is being downloaded and played at the same time. This task will require a significant amount of resources to play smoothly. The more detailed the video, the more resources you will need. HD videos can eat resources like a whale eating krill. Buffering is your computer downloading the video faster than it plays. If it cant downloaded the and played the video at the same time, it will stop and create a buffer between the play time and download time. Cut Down on Background Downloads. One of the most critical resources for streaming video is bandwidth. If you have other active downloads, it will significantly affect your ability to stream video thus creating a buffering, If this is happening only on the site in reference and how long has it been going on? Are you on a network, did you try a different Browser? Try closing any application running in the background, as I stated above, when attempting your task. Are you able to access the site on other PC? If it's giving the error message un-plugged - plugged, that usually means your cable is unplugged from the MDM, the cable referred to cat five cables or RJ-45 the end piece that allows them to connect to an Ethernet jack if it is available on the device that it is relating too. I'm sure you have already power cycle your network, if your on one. Joey

Thx James, but I'm still left helpless, hanging in the wilderness, wondering if there is are answers to any of my questions. I'm sure that there are quite a few people here waiting along beside me. Am I to take your comment to mean that you are pondering a response to my questions or am I to take it that indeed you plan to say nothing and are merely waiting for me to crumble? Do I need to get on my knees and beg? Ok, you got me, here I am begging you. I'll do whatever it takes.

Finaly we have cam previews thumbs, congrats to VHTV for that.My opinon regard it..the place were it's shows isn't the best, maybe  putting it below the time archive bar(if possible)that way won't cover part of image we are seing every time we watch the cam preview. No doubth some improvements should be made, but very posite to have it,so many houses by now in VH an feature like this was imperative.

Maybe if displayed less time,my count is that it stays about 15seconds till desapeared, think maybe 10seconds would be better and more than enought.

I am guessing that is true if you are a subscriber - makes sense from a business perspective. Thanks for your reply

OR toggles on and off, on the preview button bottom right of picture part of window, depending on your browser. Like the others with this number of "realms" it is a necessary and useful feature; GOOD move VHTV thanks. I have not worked out how often it refreshes.

Hey everyone,

Preview feature is out in its first public version. We have already started gathering your valuable feedback on it and we're watching how users use it real time too.

Coming next is that: we will make an option to show it under camera view, so it won't clutter the valuable space.

We are also considering adding selection of timeout in secs for previews to stay on screen after you put mouse cursor away or it stays inactive within it.

This is just a beginning, there's lots of stuff to do ahead within this feature and expect new releases within these weeks too.
