WTF?

Apparently, some leftists have been floating the idea of a "Living Wage Tax."

This is getting fucking ridiculous over here...I thought I was watching a suspenseful mystery movie but I'm actually sitting at a comedy club.

Liberal, progressive,Marxist have one solution to solving every problem: RAISE TAXES AND SPEND MORE MONEY.

Foamy as long as your doctor accepts medicare you can keep him or her, most do..no need to change but educate yourself..Medicare.gov is a good start. the cost of your healthcare is going to drop 60%.. The healthcare system in it's present form is crap..we all know that.. Trump failed to fix it..because he didn't look for real solutions that work for everyone. Hope they figure it out. Maybe we should cut out the Congress, Senators, and President's Government paid Cadillac policies and let them go on the exchange until they fix it..Hard to see the issues then they don't effect them..

John McCain stopped fixing healthcare, not Trump.

Trump had no fix.  He just wanted to kill it because Obama did it.  I bet you if a reporter asked him about what parts of the ACA he doesn't like i bet you $100 he couldn't give a coherent answer. I understand its not perfect, but a lot of people would have been hurt without it.

I have been notified that my doctor is leaving. So I'll need to get another. Next year, I will be forced to take Medicare, which means changing the doctor I like and the policy I like. This will be my 7th time of switching since Obamacare was instituted.

But Obama said, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."  And he would never lie.

I'll start bitching about the welfare system when you fascist conservatives start bitching about all the corporate welfare you are supporting out there.  The intent of a capitalist society should be to let businesses succeed or fail on their own merits and business practices.  However, the the Federal Government spends almost 50% more in corporate subsidies (corporate welfare) than it does on all the food stamps and housing assistance.  Are you aware that many military families receive food stamps?  Are you aware that the Walton Family is one of the richest families in history yet a significant number of full time Walmart employees subsidized their groceries via food stamps?  Are you aware that almost 10% of the Amazon employees in Ohio need food stamps because of the substandard pay?  So get on up to the trough like the rest of the corporate lackeys.  When the wage stagnation hits you or when they cut your medicare, social security or va benefits, I'll be there to smile at you...

Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos owns the Washington Post and is one of the biggest Trump haters in the country. The Washington Post trashes and attacks Donald Trump everyday.in America they don't get anymore liberal and progressive than Jeff Bezos.

True fix?More socialism?

Well the alternative is to have the millions of people who's employer does not provide coverage, or they are not healthy enough to qualifyfor affordable coverage go to the emergency room for care and get it written off. More raise in healthcare cost. You can't just eliminate it but have to find a solution that addresses the problems. Obama provided coverage for everyone equally but didn't anticipate the rise in cost due to more usage, or the Healthcare companies pulling out of certain markets.. The business policies are not as effected as the individual market but it's headed there.. The solution lies somewhere in the middle. In America we don't want socialism or allow people to die in the streets. You guys say make America great again..let's see if you mean it..

Don’t forget the part where he told us all we’d be saving $2,500 a year

Correct. The cost of medical care has not declined; the cost of a premium for a self-employed person doubled in 2011. The cost of the policy I had during the Bush years has quadrupled. I saw the writing on the wall, shut down the business, and retired because it made no sense for me to continue with the operation. All profits would go to a huge new bureaucracy of civil servants who dictated the kind of care I would get. Not worth my time, labor, or risk. I no longer add to the national GDP. I find it abhorrent that I must rely on the government for such expensive and shoddy services.

If I get pregnant and have a kid, whelp: that's covered! Whoopee! As for Medicare, it's really sweet if you want to wait a couple months for a doctor's appointment.

Again Foamy..you misunderstand Medicare ,, you may be confusing it with Medicaid.. There is no discrimination in scheduling and you either supplement it with a medadvantage or medigap plan. Doesn't cost you anything to get some helpth it. Guaranteed you are gonna be happy with it.
