The authorities will then have greater opportunity to totally isolate the Russian network from the world wide web. The law that has already been approved by the Russian Parliament, the Duma is seen by many as an attempt at a system similar to China's closed internet - but at the same time, experts believe that it will be difficult to implement. Reply to USA allegations of Russian intrusion The Russian Parliament writes on its website that law was proposed as a response to the US cyber security strategy, where Russia is accused of being behind cyber attacks. The country's internet operators is also forced to install a new centralized technical system, which the state will provide. The system allows the authority to block parts or the entire Internet traffic with one click. According to Roskomsvoboda, an organization that safeguards the Russian digital rights, security is just a pretext for further enhancing control over the Russian population's communication and gathering of information. A series of laws that increase network control Since the mass demonstrations against Putin 2011/2012, a number of new laws have been established in Russia that restrict the freedom of the citizens on the net; Internet operators must store their users' internet traffic and are by law now forced to cooperate with the security service. Amounts of websites have been blocked, it has become illegal to ask social media to participate in demonstrations that have not yet been authorized by the authorities, and a like-click on the wrong comment can lead to imprisonment or fines. Quite exactly one year ago, a court decision came, which meant that the Telegram chat service popular in Russia would be blocked. The decision led to major protests, while the authorities never managed to block the service that was still being used extensively. The law that prohibits VPN tunnels, ie software that makes it possible to bypass the censorship, was also made toothless. Many Russians continue to use VPN to access blocked websites. The protests against the restrictions on freedom on the internet have led to extensive demonstrations and many have feared that Putin's plan has always been to create a closed internet, like China's. This is what will happen in the United States, if the Democrats and/or Socialists, gain control of your lives. We will become just like the Russian State. The Government will be able to put it's thumb on you and squash you just like Putin is doing to his people. Putin wants the USSR back in all it's glory and he's going to stop at nothing to get it. If he could annex China, with little resistance he would in a heartbeat. They also see people that trample the border, kill legal citizens that stand in their way and want to give them rights. Hell, they forfeited any right to rights when they entered this country illegally. Try entering Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, France, Italy, Russia, even jolly old England illegally and see what happens to you. No one will ever find you again. Well, maybe you'll get away with it in England, they just may get a tad upset. Now, we have a bunch of lazy blacks that want the Government to 'give' them money for something that happened 250 years ago. You do know what that was, right? It was THEIR OWN PEOPLE that were selling them into slavery in Africa. And like anyone else looking for a cheap labor deal, the plantation owners bought them as plantation workers. That's what they did back then. The owners were just doing what, at that time was a way to harvest their land in an economic way. Along comes good ol' Honest Abe, and frees these people. In turn, they have done a 180 on the country and played it for every shred of bleeding heart B/S that they can play them for and of course the Government caves to these demands in the name of not wanting to be labeled as RACISTS. I could go on ad-nauseum with truths. People have been and are tired of all the b... s...ing lying assed establishment politicians in The U.S. who want the majority of the country's population to be dependent on the government, all the while they continue to come up with more undermining and corrupt excuses, reasons, and ways to steal more and more of their money to finance their corrupt b.s. Some people just don't like it when enough of some country's population stands up and says "No More"', by ways of their voting and free speech.
