After several days, Taylor realised whatever she had with Kristy, or whatever she thought she had with Kristy was over. I remembered that it ended when they returned.

When Kristy and Taylor visited Kimberly after the trip, Kristy heavily criticized Taylor for being unfaithful. Taylor denied/lied, but Kristy saw her clearly and dumped her. Kristy is a good friend to everybody, including Taylor. 1

The bonus money to be with Taylor was convenient, sure, but it wasn’t the only reason Kristy gave it a shot. She was genuinely curious and honestly, I think at some point she thought she might actually have romantic feelings for her. There was this one night she told Taylor that the last few times she’d hooked up with the guy she was seeing were boring, because she kept thinking about her. But once they started sleeping together that last week, Kristy got disappointed, and the trip afterward just confirmed for her that it was never going to be nothing more than an adventure. In the end, she found out she wanted the experience, not Taylor. 1
