At around 40 years old, she’s the oldest woman in the group, and coming from a place where it’s common for women her age to already have at least one child, she naturally stands out. It surprised me when she said, a few weeks ago, that she still wants to be a mother. Brings up questions, not just because of her age, but also considering the life she leads. She doesn’t seem to be racing against time or weighed down by pressure. If anything, she seems unusually at peace with where she is and what may come. Yet, there’s a subtle loneliness about her that’s hard to ignore. I remember one NYE when she was living in B2. She got all dressed up and about to go out, but then something on her phone made her change her mind. She walked back inside and spent that night alone. It was a small moment, but it stayed with me, was a little sad.
