With the time it takes it must be a complete renovation from the ground up.

At this point, they should have just removed the apartment from the list, saying C/P left the project.  Then if/when C/P come back, then they could have created whatever narrative of 'moving apartments' at that time.

Or.. they could give an expected return date, like they do vacations.
