Privacy (no bathroom/bedroom cams), wage and pornography laws. California being one of the only states that allow it, somewhat easily, is very expensive to live in. Quote

Pretty sure that laws only for like hidden cameras but if you know they're there it's perfectly fine like vhtv Makes everyone sign a waiver whenever they come in and plan on staying for a little bit Quote

[1, 2] Consent Does Not Matter: Even if you notify someone or they theoretically agree, installing a camera in a bathroom is a serious violation of privacy and can result in criminal charges and civil lawsuits. [1, 2] Bedrooms Primary Residences: If it is your own privately owned home and you are only recording yourself or your minor children, cameras are generally legal. However, if you have guests, housekeepers, or unrelated roommates, recording them in a private bedroom without their explicit consent is illegal. [1, 2] Rental and Shared Spaces: If you are a landlord, roommate, or Airbnb host, placing cameras in private bedrooms without the explicit consent of the occupants is a severe violation of privacy laws. [1] Hidden vs. Visible Doesn't Change Privacy Laws: Whether a camera is hidden or in plain sight does not change the rules regarding where you can and cannot record. Even an obvious, unhidden camera is illegal in a bathroom or private bedroom without consent. [1] 1 Quote

You'd have the pay each participant at least $12k/month to coincide with minimum wage laws. Being "on the clock" 24/7/365 with a minimum wage of $16.90/hr. So my guess is a participant would only agree to a contract of at least $15k/month at the very most low end. After all other expenses (house, utilities, supplies, insurance, etc..), with say 2 participants, you're looking at $50k/month in just operation costs. You'd need around 1700 subscribers at $30 per month just to support the one house, doesn't include you getting paid, any other staff or money to expand to other houses. Quote

I believe that if you have them signed as an employee but not if they are an independent contractor Also not all states minimum wage is $16.90/hr I believe Alabama is still 7.50 And time that they're not on camera you don't pay them for Quote

I went with California because that is the easiest state you're going to pull it off in. Quote
NoOneSpecial Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Oh, keep in mind the people that own/run RLC don't live or bank in the countries the apartments are in. Instead they have people like Bogdan as a proxy to "handle" things. There is probably a reason for that, so you'll probably want the same accomodation, which adds another level of expenses. Quote

I think you think I'm talking about opening a website I'm talking about a house and connect to a site like RLC or VHTV Quote

RLC wouldn't open themselves up to US laws/scrutiny. Quote
