On November 1st the membership fee will increase to $20 per year or $1.66 per month. This is the first time that we have raised the membership fee since it was established more than two years ago. If you get a chance please take a screenshot of the error and post it. I performed an upgrade the other day that didn't go very smoothly so there maybe some lingering issues that need to be taken care of.

We've added a new feature that will automatically re-write image URL's to use HTTPS instead of HTTP if there is an HTTPS version available. The main benefit of this is that it will eliminate most if not all of the "Insecure content" warnings caused by image hosts that don't use SSL. It also provides greater security from prying eyes.

We have added two new login and authentication methods: VK & Twitter. You can your VK or Twitter profile to login to CamCaps without having to create a new account.

I have created a page for Tutorials here: https://camcaps.net/tutorials/ The purpose behind this is to have one place (as opposed to individual threads) where we can direct users to learn how to use and navigate the site. Currently there are two tutorials explaining how to post images.

Blog post ideas include: short stories, a bio, interesting links, notifications, updates, etc. You can also embed images and videos. If you click on the Blog page you can see my Blog where I plan to post site updates and news. To create your own blog simply click on the "create blog" button, on the Blogs homepage. Downloads can be found here: https://camcaps.net/files/ Description: This is a download system that is separate from everything else on the site. You can upload images, videos, and other files to it. It also has the ability to do revisioning, the ability to create a new topic for each upload, and more granular control. I am not exactly sure how this will best be used yet, but essentially it's a file sharing platform. My tentative plan is create a gallery of sorts that contains licensed content acquired by Depraved Media and then make that available to all. This made me curious so I looked at traffic stats for this year compared to last year. Just about every day this year (past 365 days) has had more traffic than that day the previous year, and in most cases it's been significantly more. In other words, cumulatively we are getting quite a bit more traffic than last year. I also noticed that the traffic peaks and valleys are somewhat mirrored. This time last year there was a slight drop in daily traffic as well. I think it's worth mentioning though that we broke our "Most Online" at one time record earlier this week. One of the more interesting things that I noticed is that we are getting more traffic but the number of page views is going down. I would guess this is a result of either A. This new forum software makes it easier to find what people are looking for so they aren't searching as many pages, B. Previously, guests had to register in order to view any links. When people register they tend to participate more and spend more time on the site. Now guest can view links and embedded images without having to register. I think we may need to go back to the only registered users can view links policy, if for no other reason than to encourage more participation.

We have absolutely no affiliation or relationship with RLC, in fact it is against our terms of service for RLC employees to visit our site. I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know what happened. For the most part I stay out of the day to day discussions on here, and focus more on maintaining and improving the site, so I don't always know what's going on. - Admin
