The only way manufacturers of ANYTHING are going to change, is if the public simply refuses to buy it. Now, they can either make things that work or they can shut the door and go home. So many of my things are older because I can fix them without blinking. 20 year old washer and dryer, 15 year old freezer, 15 year old truck, 50 year old car, etc...
