I fully agree. Cops today have this "Us against them" mentality. I look at some of these guys and they are twice and three times my size. Do they think an old dude like me is going to argue with them in the street? 9 out of 10 times, unless you have an outstanding warrant or you're just plain drunk, respect on both sides goes a long way. If it's a traffic stop, STFU, take the ticket and go to your court date. The side of the road isn't the place to argue. He will win every time. If you have a spotless record, again, 9 times out of 10, the record will be expunged, no fine and you smile as you walk out. And show up for court dressed like a man or a woman, not in shorts and a T-shirt. Do your research on the charge, present your findings to the judge and if you really are on the right side of the charge, it will be dismissed. Cops are so used to people being assholes, they just come to expect it. You throw them off totally when you act like an adult.
