    I can't speak for Spain but in the UK you can give the Police photos of the thief with their name and address and they still do nothing so pevention is better than cure. BTW we're not talking about a Greek Island with a poplulation of 10 people, over 1.5 million people live in Barcelona so catching them will take a little longer than 5 minutes, besides thieves hide their face by wearing balaclavas when they see cameras. As an aside is petty crime still very low in Greece? when I had family that lived on Crete in the 1990's they told me that anytime a bag was stolen on the beach it was almost guaranteed to have been taken by a tourist, the Greeks being very honest people.

    Looking back there is no way Flo left the Mac Book by accident, she walks past it several times and checked the cupboard under it.     Maybe she did / could have but she would almost certainly have had to pay baggage fees to bring the empty case back with her and a new case is probably cheaper. The holdall she brought would probably passed as hand luggage for no extra cost.     The Mac Book is on the table in Madi's room, Cam 2.1 where she put it after collection from Flo's room. It was her own Tablet onthe LR table. the one she uses for her English classes.

    Sav back with what looks like a new suitcase, my guess she left the other case and most of it contents at home before coming back to Barcelona knowing she wasn't going to be staying much longer.

    I'm someone that double checks I've locked the door when I leave so leaving the doors open as she did is something I would never do. While it may sound daft my main reason would be to stop birds flying in, in the event it happens they can get confused, panic and in due course end up sh*ting everywhere. Not good. I appreciate that the apartment is several floors up so a break in is unlikely but if it was to happen the camera's may help catch the thief but it wont get the goods back, plenty of things to steel, laptops, tablets and passports.
