In my thinking (just me) you can't separate these things. Culture is a framework of values that changes over time.

For me, that's very old school (catholic?). You can do what you like, Kristy has done Taylor once, so that's not out of the book. The new generation doesn't see things that way, like it or not, things change in time including ethics.

Things are not looking good for Taylor. She's not allowed anything by Kristy, who teases her big time sexually and commands her around. Taylor asks "why do you make me suffer", and gets no answer. When Kristy attacks her, Taylor doesn't allow it, a mistake. Taylor doesn't know what to do, though there are a million ways. Kristy has Taylor exactly where she want's, Red is no threat at all.

Just checked that out. Taylor really is very macho, but she doesn't care much for Red, didn't even seem to enjoy it that much, my impression.

Agreed about that Cookie. I think Kristy is talking around matters instead of directly, so I don't really pay much attention to what she says. Taylor seems in a process of figuring out what to do/say. Cuddling and indirect talk is not her playbook at all.
