Guest draine
There are LOTS of Money within Germany and everyone can get a Credit Card for just a few Euro by there Banks. Yes, you CAN get a credit card, but only few have one, because they can pay for everything with the EC-Card (with pin or signature). Normally, you need in Germany no credit card (so you do not need request at bank). Every store accept EC. I only know 3 people with a credit card. We have 80.000.000 inhabitants, but 79.500.000 inhabitants are not interested in the "financial heart". They also do not drive every week abroad. Edit: According to the statistics have only 20% of German a credit card.
Guest NullBurner
Sure, if you living in the woods, like the Neanderthals did in the past, you don't need ANY cards but i live in Frankfurt/Main. You're German and I'm sure you know Frankfurt is called "City of Money". Almost everyone i know has one or more Credit Cards but you are right, inside Germany (and also inside the EU) in almost every Shop you can pay with EC Card and in Internet Shops like Amazon, most Germans pay with PayPal. But what are you doing if you want to become a RLC Member for example? There are lot of Shops OUTSIDE Germany where you can only pay with Credit Card. But let us stop that my German Brother. You has your view of things and i have mine. Peace! :-*
