Watch a newer adaptation. I find books last the test of time much better than films. Film pacing in the 80s or earlier is trash 90% of the time.

Idk if this is a playful shot at me (no offense taken because none was given) but I’m 40. No one’s called me a kid in some time. 😂

Well, I'm biased as I was a personal childhood friend of Ms. Austen... 😂

And just today I was holding a nice big, thick Dickens in my right hand...
