Yeah that's definitely what it said. That's why I say if RLC dies I'm just done. There's no way I'd pay for this new site when the participants may or may not be there or the cams may or may not even be turned on.
-
https://xlife.com/terms For some reason when I just tried to access it the page wouldn't load. It was working fine a few days ago when I checked them though. Maybe it will load for you.
-
Yeah if you check the terms on the XLIFE site it states that the participants can choose to stop streaming. Though it did also mention that if they stop streaming for 5+ days that may be removed from the website.
-
Yeah see this is the type of thing I'm worried about with this new website. The participants are in control of when the streams start and stop. I'm not a fan of that at all. The beauty of RLC as it is today is that the cameras never get turned off... unless there's a maintenance period. But the cams are on 99% of the time. That's the whole reason I find this website appealing. Without 24/7 cams in every room I completely lose interest.
-
Well that's the real question. Does RLC still view their current model as profitable? Or do they feel the current RLC prices aren't sustainable based on what they're offering? As far as I'm aware we have no way of knowing exactly what RLC's expenses look like compared to their profit. So it's anyone's guess at this point.

Looks like someone new just moved into B1. So if you ask me that's a sign that the vacation apartments aren't in imminent danger of closure.
-
I guess we'll see if there's a replacement for Brooke in B1 or a replacement for Marilyn in B7. If they don't replace either of them within the next month then that's certainly a sign that they may be phasing out the vacation apartments. For the moment though the beds in the vacation apartments are still mostly filled. I'm nervously optimistic that they will be replaced. But if the vacation apartments go, so do I.
-
Well I won't argue the point. I'm sure you know better than I do. But nevertheless it is still quite the coincidence that they fixed what I pointed out in my post.
-
You may very well be correct about that. But we would have no way to know if they were monitoring certain topics either right? I'm just saying, they may not actually make public posts here but they could still monitor without even being logged in right? In which case how would we know what they are viewing? I have certainly seen some of the gals on RLC reading this website in the past.
-
I figured they may monitor this topic more closely though since it relates to their new service that they just launched. They may be more interested in user feedback than they normally would be.
-
You're right, but the timing of it just seemed too good to me. I mean the site had already been active for about a week before I made my post here. But I acknowledge that it could just be a pure coincidence that they just happened to fix the exact issues I mentioned right after I mentioned them.
-
If they don't it's an awfully big coincidence that they both fixed the activity timeline and removed the "REALLIFECAM" from the bedroom cam just a few hours after I made my post. I mean what are the odds that they fixed two of the things I mentioned right after?
-
They definitely removed it from bedroom cam 3 in the Alexandra apartment which is the only cam it was showing up on in that apartment. Which cam are you looking at?
-
I noticed after I made my post here yesterday they fixed the acitivity timeline so now it is showing activity properly. Also they removed the REALLIFECAM from the lower right of the screen. So if y'all are reading this I'd like you to know that cam 2 in the Alexandra apartment is still glitchy, it keeps stuttering regularly and has some weird visual glitches happening as well. Additonally on the replay cams 1, 2, and 3 are all displaying different times even though it should be the same time for all of them. The clock on cam 3 is about five minutes behind cam 2 and the clock on the kitchen cam is about two minutes ahead of cam 2. To be clear I'm not talking about a syncing issue here, I mean only the time is displaying incorrectly. The bathroom cam doesn't have any time displayed at all. I've also noticed when I pause the replay it doesn't save the time where I paused. Instead when I resume it reverts me back to the point in time when I started watching the replay instead of picking up where I left off. Also I noticed all of the cams have the "no sound" icon to the right of them indicating when a cam has no audio. But the only cam that should have that icon is the bathroom cam, the other three cams do have audio. Normally I would send this type of message to support rather than post it publicly but I can never seem to get a response when I e-mail support so I feel like my e-mails aren't even being read. I feel like making this public post may be more effective in resolving some of these issues. Edit: One more note I'd like to add is cam 3 in the bedroom has regular static/interference sounds. These sounds are also present on cam 2 but not quite as noticeable. Cam 1 in the kitchen is also experiencing the same stutters/visual glitches as cam 2 in the bedroom.

B1 - General Topic 2024 #11 (October)

I e-mailed VHTV not too long ago asking if they had any plans to upgrade their video/audio quality and sadly they said they didn't. I agree with you though, I can't take that awful audio quality. That's why I've always felt like RLC is the only real option for this type of entertainment. At least VHTV does always answer their support e-mails though. RLC almost never answers their support e-mails.
