it's probably easier to just capture the real stream instead of using screencapture tools; in the real stream the code does not appear. Alternatively, you can just position a small window over the code or blur it out in postprocessing (but then you will loose even more quality due to re-compression of the compression of an already heavily compressed stream :) )

it's your session key, probably so the rlc admins can trace down who records and distributes their video's. If you capture using the real stream (rtmpdump) they don''t show up, so it's coded in the flash player, not in the stream.

I would much rather see a boatload of likes when I post a video than a boatload of individual posts from people thanking me. But, yeah...getting thanked one way or the other is nice. But, jimbo, I disagree with your suggestion that a member should contribute something before they can post to the forum. There are many people who may have interesting things to say, but who don't have the means to capture screenshots or videos. I don't think they should be penalized. I agree, people with something to say should be encouraged to do so. However, the list of registered members vs people who actually contribute is quite out of proportion unfortunately (granted, that's usually the case with most forums). But if the majority of members can only just utter the words "send me the vids" or "when will you be recording new videos" and nothing else, it might be feasible to make posting just a little harder; the ppl who want to contribute (in any way possible) can still do so, and the leechers might not want to bother to take another hurdle ? More strict moderation is also an option, but that takes up a LOT of time and effort, which not everybody has; and I can image that FN already puts in quite a lot of time as it is now.

Hey hot rod, have you seen the tutorial topic on rtmpdump? It's free software and works quite well (since it captures the stream directly there is no loss of quality like with a screen recorder). If you need help getting it set up, let me know. -- edit: didn't see the previous posts of JoJo and FN :D But anyway still, let me know if you need help setting it up.

I think it's a good idea. As long as you keep the 'like' button so people can show appreciation. nothing more demotivating than seeing '2000 viewed this' and not one 'thank you'. Maybe it's also an idea to introduce some sort of system where you have to contribute something (small, just to show good will) in a special thread before you're allowed to post at all, even if you're registered? There's a lot of activity from newly created accounts with 1 or 2 posts whining for video's without even realising the backstory. (ok granted I also don't have a large record of posting content, but at least I try to contribute in one way or another -- eg technical help with rtmpdump)

You should have seen these two back around New Years. Anton was home 24/7...glued to his laptop in the living room. (he didn't have the desktop then) Alina was bouncing off the walls trying to get his attention. She even started crawling all over him, trying to get between him and his computer. He just gently moved her out of the way and continued playing. Her sister (I think it was her sister) was visiting at the time and Alina would go crying on her shoulder...and then go back to Anton for another try to get his attention. She failed every time. Finally, after almost a week of this, he gave her a mercy fuck. He didn't even bother covering up with the blanket. Then he went back to his game. Finally, it appeared they came to an agreement. He built the desktop, moved it into the bedroom and she got the right to demand and get sex from him. But he still rarely pays any attention to her. I'm not surprised he was watching TV while she was getting her rocks off. And I bet he went right back to the computer when she was done. I saw that, and it was really sad. Alina tried just about anything, he wouldn't even glance at her. There were also times that Alina got quite drunk and things escalated where she was about to just jump on his lap, only to be ignored further, after which she would extremely angry storm back to the bedroom, cry , rinse, repeat. Anton is useless. They never even seem them to just talk, they live completely separated lives, although in the same apartment. If I would to treat my girl like that, she would leave in less then a month.
