I think the couples get paid by the amount of viewers they attract and the amount of time that the viewers watch them.  She figured out a great way to keep viewers online by pretending to be giving shows over the internet so viewers will watch her for a long, long time.  If this is true, then that explains why the girls walk around a lot in their underwear or naked, and why there seems to be more teasing than action.
