    To me, I'm using the British English "holiday" when I mean the American English "vacation" which perhaps better suits your definition of these more minor of absences. IDK Australian English as well as I know my own version and the British version that I've become more versed in during the last decade of my life. For example, I'm going on vacation next week, but it's only for four days and I'm only missing two work days. Still a "vacation" to me, I think largely in part because I'm taking "vacation time" from work. IDK! Enlighten me. Perhaps you call that kind of time off a didgeridoo! 😂

    Came home from dinner and just noticed that there's no vacation notification for either Savaira or Chilli. Bang up work, RLC. IIRC for anyone concerned: I think Savaira is expected back late Friday night (given her travel proclivities, that probably means early hours of Saturday😂) and Chilli is back either Sunday or Monday. FWIW. 😁

    Well, you'll get a break from her and Savaira at least through the weekend as it looks like they're both going on holiday. But I fear for the state of RLC if/when Chilli and Savaira do leave, because the two of them (and especially Chilli) have been the major organizing force for most of the memorable events/get togethers on RLC since the spring. If it weren't for them, B1, B4 and B7 would be as isolated as B2 and B5 have been since March. I also see that Karina, at least right now, is in B4 working out with Brianna, so B1 might be a ghost town this weekend. Oh well! I hope Chilli and Savaira have good trips!

    It makes me very happy so see that Lunette and Chilli (and the other B1 girls) made a connection during Lu's brief stay. Watching the sweet hugs as Lunette exited B1 tonight made me happy for both involved. From a distance, it feels like Chilli and B1 have taken Lunette under their wing in the project and that's so nice to see. There's a non-trivial age gap there and yet they were still able to make a connection and make Lunette feel included in a way that I don't think she probably felt in B4 even when there were people closer to her age. ________________________ TL;DR: B1's current tenants are awesome people and remain the reason for my sub!

    The other day, a delivery guy told me he didn't speak English, and at one point he said thank you in Spanish, so I responded with, "de nada," and (in Spanish) he was like, "oh, so you know some Spanish!" and I didn't know how to tell him that I'd run out of usable Spanish. So I just said, "gracias." 😂😂😂 I would agree but the tenants can apparently choose any name. Some are closer to their real names than others. When I hear "Chilli" I still think of this guy immediately:

    Fair question that I don't know the answer to. Maybe since they're both fluent in English, they just go with that. Lunette's Spanish is better than mine, but that's not hard to beat, so maybe it's still very limited?

    If they did speak Spanish, Lunette knows a fair amount. More than I do, and I had to take Spanish in high school.

    I question the effectiveness. 🤣 idk there’s a fan going too so maybe they’re defrosting the freezer? I haven’t been on much today because I’m hosting a family thing today, but that was an odd sight and I didn’t see anyone in the house.
