If this file had been a WEBM file, it probably wouldn't have played, either, until you install a media player that can play WEBM files, such as VLC or QQ Player. If you Google VLC or QQ Player, you will find places where you can download those players. Both are free. Once you install one, you shouldn't have any trouble playing WEBM files or just about any other type of media file. Hope this was helpful. Good luck.
