I'm trying to disagree with you, but maybe you have a point. She's living with him for years now and should know him better than us. There is a voice inside of her head telling her not to do it, but she doesn't want to listen.

While I agree with the fact that it's not his fault if she chooses to stay, I don't think that "bitch" is what would define her. It does seem stupid to stay with such a man, but I'm one, and straight, so maybe there's an appeal that I'm missing.
