They answered my question that if the cars would even make it to 100,000 miles.

All of them are junk and are just right for the little dick 'he-man' that needs a car to perform in bed.

Yes, you can turn off or disable the telematics on a 2025 F-250 6.7L Diesel, primarily by managing the FordPass Connect modem settings via the vehicle's infotainment screen or physically disconnecting the unit. Disabling this prevents the truck from sharing location, speed, and vehicle health data with Ford. [1, 2, 3]

How to Disable Telematics (FordPass Connect)

Via Screen: Go to Settings > FordPass Connect > Connectivity Settings and toggle the features off.

Via App: Within the FordPass app, you can turn off location services, though this may limit remote features like start/lock.

Physical Disconnect: Locate the Telematics Control Unit (TCU)—often a black box with an IMEI number—and unplug its power harness to fully disable it. [1, 3, 4]

Important Considerations

Lost Features: Turning off the modem will disable remote start/lock/unlock via the app, live traffic updates, and automatic emergency services (e911).

Effect: This action removes the vehicle's ability to transmit data to the cloud. [2, 4, 5]

On a 2025 Ford F-250 6.7L Diesel, the telematics control unit (TCU/modem) is responsible for FordPass connectivity and location reporting. It is typically located behind the rear passenger-side seatback, attached to the cab wall.

Methods to Disable the Telematics
  • Fuse Removal (Easiest Method): Locate the passenger-side footwell fuse panel. Pulling the specific 5A fuse for the modem/telematics (often referenced in previous models as Fuse 8 or similar in the 5A-10A range) will cut power to the unit.
  • Physical Disconnection:
    1. Lower the rear passenger-side seatback.
    2. Locate the black box (TCU) on the rear wall.
    3. Unplug the large connector (power/data) and the antenna cables (often colored, like grey/orange).
  • Software Opt-Out: In the vehicle SYNC screen, go to Settings > Connectivity > Connected Vehicle Features and toggle them off. Note that this might not physically disable the unit from trying to send data.
Warning: Disconnecting the TCU or pulling its fuse will disable FordPass remote features (start, lock/unlock), over-the-air updates, and potentially eCall/SOS emergency services.
