I get all that but the only reason the manipulator gets to come again is because Zabava becomes weak and gives him a hint that she can reconcile. Had Zabava kept her firm stance and have made it clear it's totally over, why would he put his foot back again in the apartment ?

Because it's very clear that she loves him and only say that "it's over" for him to apologize. Isn't hard to see that.
