I'm someone that double checks I've locked the door when I leave so leaving the doors open as she did is something I would never do. While it may sound daft my main reason would be to stop birds flying in, in the event it happens they can get confused, panic and in due course end up sh*ting everywhere. Not good. I appreciate that the apartment is several floors up so a break in is unlikely but if it was to happen the camera's may help catch the thief but it wont get the goods back, plenty of things to steel, laptops, tablets and passports. 1
