Sayn has some self respect, not to mention a pretty good sized ego. That's about as far as I can vouch for him at this point. He's got a job and has local friends he can turn to for a temporary place to stay. He doesn't have to be there and I don't believe for a minute he would be if he knew all.

He finally gets Ellie to dump Sayn. He is ready for sex all over the appartment, to be there for a horny Ellie in mourning, and then, plot twist! Sayn comes back and Leech is suddenly homeless again. Replaced by a giant teddy bear. Hung over as fuck he has to pack his bag and leave in a hurry. He lost it all. Leech tried so hard, and got so far. But in the end, it didn't even matter.
