I didn't say they didn't get hit, but often enough a player might get barged off the ball and go down holding their face when the contact was nowhere near their face. They must know we get to see replays of their embarrassing antics and yet still do it. Rugby players get hit a lot harder and they don't roll around on the floor like infants. 1

Yes that's an issue in football, also always contesting referes' decsion and unfairplay behaviours... football has a lot to learn from rugby but it seems things are moving slowly; but too slowly of course...

Some might be faking, but only because they have an incentive to do it. When they roll on the ground they stop the ball, get more time at the end of the match and so on. Mandy referees give the player a yellow for faking too much.

I like the new rule, in that when a player is down and stays down trying to waste time, they have to leave the pitch for one minute after play resumes, that will catch out the ones faking injury, their team will be down to 10 men for a while. 1
