If you think US poor are better off than (Western) European poor, then think again! I would NEVER want to be poor in the US... 

We also regularly see a new US shooting in the news to illustrate this cowboy mentality.

Next thing you'll be saying we'd be speaking German if it wasn't for you guys. (& It's been more than 80 years now anyway: how long can you claim credit for that?... Can France still claim credit after 250 years for the fact the USA wouldn't have existed without it?...). While there was an "America First" movement (I'm guessing you relate to that current movement, now called MAGA) back then too, and they wanted no part in WW2 & even advocated a deal/negociations with Hitler... So you'd be claiming credit for something your political opponents did... Only Japan spoiled it by attacking Pearl Harbour & Hitler was stupid enough to stand by his ally & declare war on the US himself...

 

But what does all this have to do with the world cup anyway?...

Related to the World Cup? I'm afraid it's all international media too, then and probably half the US ones too...

Except your own hand-picked news channels who only tell you what you want to hear & of course never ever would distort facts in their ideological favor!... 😉 (note the irony)

And how can a "country" lie?... You need an unchallenged dictator who controls all media for that... Western European countries are democracies with rather high press freedom, not banana republics or North Korea. 

You seem to think anything outside the US is a 3rd World country?... Or how should I interpret this vague oneliner saying basically nothing?...
