I'm not very passionate about that discussion, but their main argument against what your saying is that yes climate has changed forever, but never as fast as it is now. Personally I don't know what to believe, except local pollution. I lived in smog hell for years. And for that reason I am positive to green alternatives, as long as it does not get ideological crazynes that does not actually do anything for the climate. Also, oil is not infinite. We need to find new energy sources at some point. Might as well get started. 

OT: look what this house is doing to us. So little is happening that we have started discussing climate change. Someone flash your boobs! Quick! Before we all start arguing.
