Can't speak from experience with drugs, but there have been plenty of times that I've had a little too much to drink, was more than ready to lay pipe, but couldn't get the erector set to function correctly.

What on earth does Leora see in him!!! I presume Leora is not working. Shift work assuming our guesses are right about her nursing.
