Yes, this has been explained many times. Unless you're a "paid" member you can't view attachments. To upload pics as a free member you have to click the "Add image to post" option.

Sorry but since a few days, I can't post anymore pictures too. "Add image to post" opens the windows and loads the file but the link with Url and filename no more appears above the text...
