This should help clear up the confusion: http://babynamescountry.com/origins/russian_baby_names1.html It will also work for other nationalities and cultures. It will tell you if the name is assigned to females, males, or both. Masha (English: Mary) is a female name; Sasha (a form of Alexander) is male. Unfortunately this will not help clarify the situation with the lesbian couples or the tenants' pets. That will still require astute observation. Remember: Posting the Real Actual Names of tenants in our public forums is prohibited by our rules.
