I think this is too strong of a description Berty. I do believe they are very very fond of each other. They love each other. But are they “in love” with each other? We all, I think, have been in relationships where you look at our partner and ask ourselves and each other “what are we doing?”. “where is this going?” I think Martina and Alberto are in this place. He’s now working his ass off and he comes home and she goes out and parties. This can’t be good. People can tolerate mediocre relationships for a long time. And this is much better than mediocre. They are fond of each other and the sex is above average. But it could all crumble instantly if one of them finds someone who lights their fire.

I am so behind. Lots to unpack today. But thought #1 top of mind: Martina’s biggest frustration with Alberto was the ni ni concern. What was he doing with his life? Well he’s working on that and he has a job now. Good for him. What has Martina done to recognize that the love of her life (that’s the inner Deepdave in me talking) is making progress to improve his lot in life? It does not seem to make her happier about Alberto. Maybe she sucks him a bit harder now, who knows. And it is lonely during the day when he is not around. Be careful what you ask for. But that would make the evenings more important to them as a couple … need to optimize the time alone. Is that happening? Doesn’t look like it. Has she curbed her partying? Note I am asking if she curbed partying and not off-cam sex in deference to my friend Deep. Where is @girlsfun2 … I hope she is getting laid. She’s been pretty quiet.

I am involved in this forum because it is a distraction from the doldrums of everyday life. Perhaps too I am challenged by trying to follow your convoluted logic. For example , we both have moral problems? Then the next sentence is we don't have moral problems? Which is it? I don't disagree with anything you have said. Of course Martina and Alberto love each other and are very close. Yes someday they will leave RLC. All of this is fine. To me the critical question is whether or not Martina is having sex beyond Alberto. Forget about morals and emotions, this is pretty much a fact-based question. You seem to think the answer to this is NO. In fact, you are rather convinced of this. I and others here are not convinced. This is truly is a question where we may have to agree to disagree. Note that I am not saying she is having sex with someone else other than Alberto. I simply don't know for a fact. But the circumstantial evidence is damning IMHO. Again, strip away the moral conversation and the emotions. If she is NOT having sex beyond Alberto, good for her. If she IS having sex beyond Alberto, good for her. I simply do not care because she is a strong woman and she is doing what is in her best interest, regardless. Some might wonder why the obsession over this and perhaps they have a point. I would say I am not obsessed over whether Martina is having sex without Alberto. But perhaps I do have an obsession ... and unhealthy one at that. Perhaps I am more obsessed over why you think it is not happening.

Sorry Dave I think you are the one with the moral problems. You described their relationship perfectly … “he cannot stop her” … yet you are the one painting her as a goody two shoes when she stays out all night. I actually am quite fine with her relationship to Alberto as I never believed it is much more than a casual sexual relationship. I do not judge her. Honestly don’t understand how you can say she has an open relationship and sex is an amusement and then tell us that nothing happens in her all night partying.

I don’t feel that way Joe. I think she is one of the top RLC cast assets. She is more valuable to RLC than perhaps anyone but Masha.

Emmett is not saying everyone is a liar, he is just skeptical and doesn’t believe everything he hears. This is a prudent way to live in my opinion. How do you get through life believing everything you hear? OMG, by your own definition Martina IS a cheater and she has cheated on Alberto multiple times with Nelly. This is indisputable. What is disputable is whether she continues to cheat on Alberto. If I were you I would stick with your belief that they have an open relationship and if Martina sees someone that she wants to fuck, she has Alberto’s blessing. I am pretty sure you have said many times here that “their relationship works for them”. On this, you and I are in complete agreement. Who told you this? As usual, it is quite possible you are correct. But excuse me and others for not being convinced. We know they can't keep their hands off each other, even if it means it might take a little alcohol to reduce the inhibition. Since their trip was not on cam, you either have a very very good source (perhaps Martina herself) or this was discussed with Alberto and a translator is feeding you good information. Question then is would Martina (or Nelly) be honest with their men? If your source is Martina, would she be honest with you? Recently, you said this: "Nelly gave one to Bogdan and Martina gave one to Alberto." This is in regards to the friendship bracelet. I believed you because it seemed credible to me. But then you quickly retracted: So why should we believe you at all?

AND ... IF this is true ... and all four are happy with Martina and Nelly being lovers ... might we get this BACK ON CAM???? Everyone is happy then! Thank you Berty. I appreciate the details very much. Speaking just for myself, it is possible I miss some things on the forum or forget some things. But also you point out something I have said many times: It is a lot of work to be a diligent voyeur! I admire those like you who watch carefully and notice the little details and report the details in a way that is credible and verifiable. To me this is as valuable as what our translators do. Although I am not sure we have confirmed the giving of a bracelet from Nelly to Bogdan ... if this is true ... might this be very symbolic assuming they both returned from a trip together? Some sort of a symbol to their men along the lines of "thank you for allowing us to love each other but this bracelet is a sign that we will always be true to you"? Before everyone calls this a crazy speculation, I contend that if something like this is true, it really supports the Deepdaves here and signifies that Martina and Alberto have a much deeper, but open, relationship ... like these folks here try to get us to believe is the reality.

How do you know this? I am not disagreeing with you but curious as to how you offer this as a fact. Agree that you are very knowledgeable about these cast members. But I would think someone who would have intimate details such as this would also know if Martina’s brother is gay or not.

I am not concerned for Martina at all. She is a smart woman who knows what she wants out of life. I honestly don't understand what it means to be "concerned" about anything here in RLC land. I would say perhaps if I had any concern it would be during the Bruno/Gina and Kitty/Smith fights, I was a little concerned that one of them might get physically hurt. But even that didn't concern me too much as we all know this sort of abuse happens all over the world. I am not rationalizing or justifying it; however, when we see it on RLC, we should not overreact. Maybe a better way to state it is I am concerned for everyone on the planet who is subject to physical abuse and violence. What I like doing here is trying to UNDERSTAND what we are seeing here. And there is no better storyline IMHO than what we see with Martina/Alberto/Nelly and where these three are going. Everyone has their opinion as we all know. Few others on RLC have captured my interest. If I had more time I would love to get deeper into Holly and Thor. What we have seen with these two is similar to Martina and Nelly ... it seemed to spring up organically. That makes it exciting. But I am suspicous of Holly and Thor and wonder how organic it truly has been. I am skeptical that this is a fairy tale story. But it could be. I will stop now as I could do this all day (nothing new here)!

I stand partially corrected REDFAN. Yes when the affair started some people were very upset about Nelly and Martina cheating on their husbands. So perhaps this is a bit of hatred and vitriol. I just don't think this means we are all a bunch of haters. And if someone is truly upset and "hates Nelly or Martina" for cheating on their men ... why do they continue to hang out here and watch this. It makes no sense. At a minimum these four have very open relationships. If that isn't your cup of tea, go find some married couples porn. Not here. Who are the haters? One thing we all agree on is that we love Martina. To me the big debate on this thread is (1) those that believe Martina views Alberto as nothing more than a roommate she has sex with to satisfy their RLC obligations ... and (2) those who believe that Martina and Alberto are deeply in love with each other and have a long future together, perhaps some day getting married. And Martina loves to party but never ever has sex with anyone else but Alberto. Except Nelly which was a one time thing. Note in both scenarios, we all love Martina ... and Alberto ... and there is nothing in the second scenario that precludes Martina from being very fond of Alberto. To have a great fuck buddy you also need to be great friends. So there is really no hatred here at all for this couple. Maybe some snotty comments at times but these types of comments are ALL OVER CAMCAPS. Having said this, Martina and Nelly might be taking their lovemaking off cam for the following reasons: 1. They are sick and tired of us trying to psychoanalyze all of this and I am certainly guilty of doing this so I will own this first and foremost. But hey, like all public figures, the people have a right to gossip about them. 2. They are trying to hide this in some way from Alberto and Bogdan (i.e. "we are just friends still"). Question: How many of you have experience or are close to others with the experience of being with someone and having a torrid sexual affair … not just a one night stand but a hot steamy affair with lots of passionate sex … over months … and then suddenly those two people become great platonic friends … “best buds” … even travel together … but they halt the sexual aspect of their relationship (cold turkey). Does this happen often in real life? How often does the “can we just be friends” thing work? The folks that want us to believe that Martina and Nelly are just friends want us to believe something has happened here that is quite rare. If you don’t think it’s rare, you probably feel that a lot of FWB relationships occur all the time. I can believe that. But I don’t believe that steamy lovers become close platonic friends that often. Emotions are hard to get past. Now I think it could be possible for Martina and Nelly to be platonic now but it is not easy. Usually when one lover says “can we just be friends” the other lover is angry. I think we believe Martina is the one saying “can we just be friends”. We think Nelly may have some emotional issues so rather than be angry she may not accept it. Sex is addicting and even though these two may be trying to be platonic, I think it has to be excruciatingly difficult, especially for Nelly. I just wish Martina … no matter what she is doing this weekend … is having fun.

Thanks Pete. Others have tried to move this discussion to a separate thread. The forum is littered with such efforts. Maybe this one will work. But why move it? If we move all the conversation about the nature of their relationship, there would be nothing to talk about. This apartment would be as boring as Linda and Tibor.

I generally agree that Martina and Nelly has cooled but I still think your “nothing to see here” perspective has some clear flaws. Do you really think Alberto would do anything for her? ANYTHING? I don’t see it. But it is hopeful that he has a job now and is focusing on improving his life. That is important to Martina. The all night partying is still my biggest concern before I can be firmly in Camp DeepDave. I don’t think Martina and Nelly are “cooling it” because of Alberto or Bogdan. I think Martina realizes what is simply sex to her is having more meaning for Nelly and she does not want to complicate Nelly’s life any further. Clearly Nelly doesn’t care about Bogdan and it seems like Martina is more sensitive to Bogdan’s feelings than his own wife. Nelly may be awesome in bed but Martina realizes Nelly isn’t capable of a sex only relationship.

This is something that has been bothering me. Martina and Nelly do seem to be friends and getting along. If they are having sex it is off-cam like the infamous parking lot incident. The key questions are (1) are they still having sex? I am leaning toward a NO on that which makes DeepDave and others happy. But if they are still having sex, the next key question (2) why not on cam? This makes no sense to me. What would be the point of making love off cam at this point? On cam or off cam changes nothing relative to Bogdan’s and Alberto’s feelings … unless of course they are hiding it from them but I suspect they are smart enough to figure this out.
