Epikouros: Yes. You are correct about me leaving and then all of those who I had worked with departing in mass. It was a couple of years after that when Mr. Despicable kicked his last trash can. The architectural community in Albuquerque was still of a size where each person in the field knew enough people that something like someone croaking in the office would become common knowledge fairly quickly. Something like Mr. Despicable, who had hired and fired a decent percentage of the community and was hated by most, dropping dead in the middle of a rant caused the jungle drums to begin beating immediately. I was living in a different city by the time that it happened, but by a strange coincidence, later bought a mobile home from a person who had been working in the office at the "time of death". He was the one who told me about the story and chuckled about the comment. He said that everyone broke into a sort of nervous laugh at the time, but then when they realized just how appropriate the nervousness would have been ten minutes earlier, began to give full laughs out loud about leaving early.

A secondary aspect about the despicable architect was how generally hated he was by almost everyone who worked for him. He'd come into the office ranting and raving regularly about things that could be resolved with just a few minutes of discussion, but were spread around like group guilt. Time in/time out, break time, even a random office non-business comment would set him off on a ten minute tirade. One day, shortly after he'd turned forty, the principal came into the back office and began a screamathon. After a few minutes of yelling and throwing things, he grabbed his arm and collapsed onto the floor. It was obviously a heart attack so EMS was called. While waiting, the staff discussed giving the principal mouth to mouth artificial respiration. The discussion quickly turned into a series of, "Not me. You do it." EMS arrived and realized that the object of their attention was as dead as Hogan's goat, but their job was to get him to the hospital for the final verdict. As the ambulance departed and the office staff stood around, a quiet voice asked, "Does this mean that we can go home early?"

All this talk about pay/worth/equal has been hashed out years ago, but every generation feels as if they are the first to discover it. Back in the dawn of time, I was an architectural drafter working in a middle sized firm for the most despicable person that I ever met. Fortunately, I found a job elsewhere and moved on. The principal/owner of the firm had a building construction firm along with his architectural practice, known as design/build. The pay scale for the architectural side was linked to the final profit on the construction side plus a straight hourly rate for architectural work. Shortly after I left, the architect in charge of the architectural side of the business discovered that the principal had been cooking the books to show minimal profit on the construction side which then cut the architectural folks pay drastically. At a company meeting, tempers flared and everyone except the secretary on the architectural side quit on the spot. They assumed that it would inconvenience the principal somewhat to loose them all at once. His final comment was along the line of, "Go ahead and quit. I'll have everyone of you replaced by Monday morning." I think that happened on a Friday, but it might have been Thursday afternoon. The principal made a few phone calls and as he had said, had every drafting table filled on Monday morning. That little lesson made a deep impression on me as to exactly what my real worth was in the grand scheme of things. But in similar situations for other folks, it has to be learned again and again.

I understand overhead vs. income, but how RLC can take a goldmine and mess it up so thoroughly is beyond me. If the rental costs are too much to carry, then relocate. The cost for the girls should be minor overall. There are women (good looking women) who would take a job in Tazmania if it included free room and board and a small stipend. There has to be something else in play such as too many "executives" who have their fingers in the pie. The RLC concept is a winner. For the most part, it's very well done... especially when compared to the visual septic tank that is its competition.

Reading about Sav and Astra discussing not wanting a millionaire, but instead wanting love and attention. Is that or is that not about the funniest thing that any of the girls ever said on RLC? Surely, even in their wildest fantasies, they didn't think that there was anyone on this forum who was stupid enough to believe that. When you place your bets, put the entire pile on, "Love and attention until Mr. Love and Attention asks if there's any way to cut back a little on the insane spending". -
Dasha & Sasha, Nancy (2026) #4

Obsessive envy must be painful, judging by the way that some folks hyperventilate over the tiny details of a relationship that is probably quite comfortable for the participants. When Dasha had her marathon sulk, folks bitched (including me). Now, that all three seem to have settled into a comfortable for them, relationship, folks are still bitching. No wonder RLC pays absolutely no attention to what the masses want or claim that they want on any given day. It's as if RLC is dealing with two year olds who scream about "that" because it is not "this". Then when given "this", complain because it's not "that". As for me, there are several apartments that are simply uninteresting. Why? I have no idea. But I don't bother to go into them and follow up by bitching about what I did or didn't see. If or when the uninteresting seem to dominate the interesting, then I'll simply find some other way to waste time. -
The project would just as easily saved by moving her to an igloo near Tierra del Fuego. She's my version of a placeholder so that the room in B4 is not empty. Definitely not an attraction no matter where she wears her sweaters. I really didn't realize how much viewership was being helped just by Kaya, Geila, and Liora. By themselves, they weren't enough for the entire package, but with them now inactive, it's as if the fun is gone from B4. Elenora, Azura, and Aveline could be classified as "nice", but nice won't grab my plastic. I'd compare the situation somewhat to that of Adeline and Angie. I watched the beejeebers out of that apartment even when nothing was going on. When Angie departed, I did too. The silly part was that I didn't really watch Angie by herself, but she added just enough spice to Adeline's apartment, that I constantly went there.

That's worth watching. Nothing will happen beyond a massage, but it's still worth the time to just enjoy them together. -
Regarding Kelly cleaning her bottom in the lavatory... that appears to be because she is used to cleaning up using a bidet. Although it is probably less hygienic as far as the lavatory is concerned, it's much better for Kelly. I've never lived in a house with bidets, but I certainly believe that they are a definite step up from a few quick wipes and done process.

If how Aveline dresses for sleep now is any indication, this is the sexy sleepwear that we can all look forward to when autumn arrives.

Xarvaz: Thank you for your explanation and description about VHTV. You've saved me from the frustration of realizing that I paid just to be able to watch a bunch of hairy legged guys sit around and be useless. If I stay with RLC, I can at least see a few attractive women sit around and be useless. I've been a subscriber long enough to be practiced at that. 😁

I went to check on the scum bucket otherwise known as VHTV after realizing that Gelia has left and once Liora departs, there is not s single apartment that I'm interested in watching. When I first saw Kelly, Astra, and Roxa, I was hopeful as they were stunning. They quickly squashed those silly thoughts. What I saw listed at VHTV was thirty two active apartments and thirteen inactive. They are running a ninety day special at a bit over a dollar per day. I felt like I should take a shower after just going to the ad, but for me, it's still smarter than throwing away similar money at RLC for little or nothing in return. As for being hopeful about the new heifer in B4, my suspicions are that any expectations of interesting viewing are probably a bit foolish. She's simply an occupant sent there as a place holder. Bitter, bitter, me.

I am going to miss Gelia and am going to pretend that the little signals were directed at me.

Tabman: Before Nancy added spice to the D/S apartment, I only glanced at the thumbnails and possibly actually went into the apartment fewer than a half dozen times. Even those were just quick visits back when Sofia (spelling???) was there. I knew that she was a fairly reluctant player when she was with Masha, so didn't expect much with S/D. I went into Adeline and Marco's apartment regularly when Angie was visiting. Otherwise, I barely go there, even though I really appreciate Adeline. As for other couples, I don't know any who I have ever watched more than a few times. Couples just aren't my thing.
