the question  is not about the percentage of the population  being in intensive care but the percentage of people in intensive care compared to  the numbers of beds in hospitals.

Just watch what's going on in Polynesia and in french caribbeans.  People are treated under tents in the hospital parking lot . If you are fat and over 60 they don't event take   you intensive care anymore because they have to make choice. The hospital is close to collapse.
