The cold war would have been fun if we and Russian woman and Russian Vodka when we had our duck and cover drills in school. Somehow, I always thought being selected "Curtain Monitor" duty wasn't much of an honor during those A-bomb drills (instant suntan.) We did those about 5 times a year instead of fire-drills. Free round of drinks at Old Dudes for people who remember those days... Now schools do "Lock Down" drills instead. Somehow, gun-free zones are about as welcoming as being chosen as the curtain monitor. I'd feel much safer with Diana sitting in my lap while Efim is busy in the kitchen radiating the popcorn.
