It looked like a .40 caliber and it pretty much self destructed. The rest you could see the outcome just looking at the way they held the weapon.

It was over the rare earth minerals thing. The USA has an ample supply of rare earth minerals right on our own soil. The rules put in place by the EPA many years ago doesn't allow mining them on certain tracts of land. Just another way of exploiting this country in favor of making another one wealthier. 1

Just another way of exploiting this country in favor of making another one wealthier. I just look that up: According to 2024 and 2025 estimates, China has the largest rare earth reserves, followed by Vietnam, Brazil, Russia, and India. However, China dominates the global supply chain, accounting for the majority of both mining and processing. Top countries by rare earth reserves: China: Estimated at 44 million metric tons. Brazil: Estimated at 21 million metric tons. Vietnam: Has the world's second-largest rare earth reserves, nearly equaling China's total. India: Ranks third globally for reserves by country, though recent reports put them behind Brazil and Vietnam. Russia: Holds significant reserves but produces less. Australia: Possesses considerable reserves, with an estimated 5.7 million metric tons in 2024. United States: Holds an estimated 1.9 million metric tons of reserves. Key points regarding rare earth minerals: Dominance in processing: China’s dominance is even greater in the refining and processing of rare earths, controlling about 90% of global processing capacity.Production vs. reserves: Having large reserves does not necessarily mean high production. For example, while Brazil has vast reserves, its production remains minimal. Heavy vs. light rare earths: China has a near-monopoly on the refining of heavy rare earths, which are more scarce and critical for advanced applications like electric vehicles and military technology. Supply chain vulnerabilities: The concentration of mining and processing in China has created vulnerabilities, leading other nations, including the U.S., to explore their own sources and processing capabilities. Misnomer: The name "rare earth" is misleading, as these elements are found across the globe. They are called "rare" because they are not often found in concentrated deposits that are economically viable to mine. 1
