corboblanc
Not nearly old enough, but my dad played Dylan and told me about payphone plays. He said that the idea was to drill a tiny hole in a quarter and then run a thin stainless steel wire through the hole. Call the "Long Distance Operator" and when she says, "That'll be fourteen dollars - please deposit quarters in sets of four...." you just pull the quarter wire up and down in sets of four until the operator tells you to stop. For me, there's never been "long distance" phone calls. It's all free nationally and nearly free using the web. My dad had (has) a thing for early Bob Dylan albums. When I was growing up, he played them enough for me to learn the lyrics -- mostly, but not entirely correctly, that i proof that you can not feel but appreciate some ... thank you for sharing the lyrics .... Foamy T. Squirrel
a cool site that lets you listen to music from 1900 to the present, in most countries of the world. simply choose a country and year. not much choice at the moment because it is for users to thicken the database. An interesting site and follow .... http://beta.radiooooo.com/# Thank you corboblanc for link! I love this kind of historical stuff! I hope the site does extremely well. The purpose of this "Juke Box" thread is to introduce each other to new music, and sometimes the best music is the old music we have not heard. Foamy T. Squirrel
Bluto reminded me of just how old I am, but then I realized this is "The Old Dude's" forum, and it is Springtime in North America... Foamy T. Squirrel
Can any of you people suggest something good by Bela Bartok? Bartok is a mathematical genius, but he gets overlooked. His work must be difficult to perform, and it takes attention for the audience to understand his precision. I suggest a dimly lit room, a snifter of fine cognac, and a high-end stereo for his larger orchestral work. This one's just plain fun:

Guest
I have been waiting the whole evening for Kamila to take off her clothes in front of me, which she never does. Meanwhile, I have been listening to the music in the Juke Box. It may sound weird, as I am really fond of watching young RLC girls, but what if this juke box is the best part of Camcaps? The music you guys have chosen here is just great, I could never have found such a collection in YouTube myself, though YouTube is the best thing that has happened for my kind of music lovers. Thank you, old dudes, keep uploading your favourite music!
