  1. That last picture reminds me of the time I made two 5 gallon batches of Mead. One plain and one kissed by the Green Goddess. They had set-up for almost a year (almost ready) when the wife and I detected the distinctive odor of rotting flesh coming from the crawl space under the house where I stored the fermenting elixir. What I found was the carcass of a dead Raccoon that had knocked over one of the big glass bottles (corboys) and somehow broken off the neck. We believe it drank itself to death...or maybe had ingested some glass shards. Strange for an animal to drink that much, but after all, mead is made of honey...
  2. Just learned this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1azJWrtuxQ
  3. OK. Here is some good news. It is beeeautiful outside today and will be tomorrow too. So it's backyard campfire tomorrow night and tonight I will be kegging a nice California Pale Ale and and Oatmeal Stout to get ready for it. My usual Chocolate Stout (wife's favorite) is in bottles already. I learned two new songs from Post Modern Jukebox, I'm Not The Only One and Straight Up, and a bud is bringing his guitar and his band's keyboardist to help me make some noise for the neighborhood (I play the bass). I'm hoping to relieve them of their post-SXSW blues.
  4. So do you hold that against your titties to make milkshakes? :)
  5. Hah! Chovant. I had a "portable" made by Mars/Sinclair which I used to update the mud-logging equipment on various off-shore rigs...back in 80-82.
  6. you should watch her sing and play Sinatra's "Just one of those nights" - simply awesome- and also listen to her sing "bushel and a Peck". She's a cutie.
  7. I am a bass player so this sort of thing does it for me too.
  8. Speaking of Jukebox, this is a project by Scott Bradlee called Post-Modern Jukebox. They take Pop songs and put them to a different beat. Here is an example done by one of the best bassists around.
