    In the Nordic countries we call this a heat pump 🙂 We use them to heat houses and apartments in the winter. (Can also be used as AC in the summer) After it was banned to use oil for heating (with radiators and water-based heating), several houses have switched to large heat pumps (drilled for ground to water or air to water, for the radiators).
