Not to steal your thunder Mikey but I created a thread in the random discussions awhile ago if anyone wants to talk about it there Thanks Mikey. 17 dead and many injured. The killing needs to stop.
There was another one today at a High School in Florida. That's the 12th one so far in 2018 in the US. Why can't we stop this? This needs to end because we're better than that. Our children need and deserve to be safe at school.
Yea, we may or may not forget Cloey 10 years from now but who could ever forget watching Eddie the Eagle ski jump in the 1988 Winter Olympics. That was epic. They even changed the rules because of him. He has his own Wikipedia page for those of you who didn't experience it back then. Should be good watching tonight. Mikaela Shiffrin in the woman's slalom and Shawn White in the men's snowboard pipe final.
I'm not sure what you're saying Joey but do you remember Cloey Kim? I just saw the replay of her awesome performance again. It's all good. Talk to you later. It's late.
Shawn White threw down a 98.50 out of 100 to get into the finals tomorrow in the male half pipe. The US snow boarders are kicking butt. The finals are tomorrow.
The shots didn't work real well for me . Maybe a day or two. Find the best surgeon you can. That's most important. Second is a positive attitude. Third is rehab. Fourth is stay away from the damn sharks.
That was called "The Miracle at the Meadowlands". I wasn't there but I watched it live on TV. Eagles won 19-17. Probably my 2nd or 3rd best Eagles memory.
Mine were toast in my early 40's. I put up with the pain for well over 10 years because they told me I was too young. We can deal with the pain but toward the end I could be standing and not moving and suddenly one of them would buckle and I'd fall. I don't every regret having it done. Just find the best surgeon you can and bust your ass rehabbing and as an ex athlete work the problem like you're training. I took an awesome amount of protein powder during that time too. I don't think they cut the quad muscle anymore but I'm not sure how the surgeons are at the veterans clinic. Stay positive. Take your meds on schedule. I would recommend doing both at once. The rehab is double but the down time is singular. The pain from the surgery was nothing compared to the pain I had 24/7 for 10+ years before that. It's like anything else. All you have to do is work the problem and you'll be fine. Sorry mods if I went off topic here.
I thought so. You're a Philly Philly girl. Love it! I was at the very last Phillies game at the Vet before they blew it up. It was so cool that Chris Long was wearing an Alan Iverson jersey the day of the parade. He get's it. I try to get to at least to one game for each every year. Sometimes more. There's nothing better than tailgating and spending time at Xfinity One before an Eagles game. I tried so many times but can't get into the Flyers either. I can get to the Link in an hour on a good day or 2 hours on a bad day. I really went off topic here though. Sorry guys. Our Olympians rock! Please watch folks.
Both at the same time. I was bone on bone both legs. Worked my quads before, went to rehab after and joined a gym and did the work on the machines and the pool. Wasn't bad at all. I don't have any pain but I'll never run or jump again. Or ski. If you do the work you earn the rewards. Like the Eagles and our Olympians.
I don't. Had both knees replaced 5 years ago due to tearing them up over the years playing sports like a maniac. It was worth it though. Good memories. That's why I respect these unknown athletes. They're dedicating their lives to be an Olympian. They've never sign a 5 year $125 million contract. They do it for the love of their sport. So cool. Hoboken is Giants territory. Our Eagles have flown - finally. I think Ashley might be an Eagles fan. Right Ashley?
How far from the Florida coast would you have to travel Pirate to snow ski? You could probably practice on a surf board though. Just don't break your leg. Just kidding Joey. I'm sure you're transplanted from somewhere up north. Very good reasoning about the differences between the summer and winter Olympics. There are good things happening and will happen before they extinguish the cauldron. Just my opinion.
I agree. The Summer Olympics are a US strength. Good things happened on the woman's half pipe today. A 17 year old US trilingual girl (English, Korean and French) won the gold. She had it wrapped up before her final run and then went for it and threw down an almost perfect score to blow away her competitors. I never heard of Chloey Kim before today. I'm sure no one else here has either. There's always a bunch of Chloey Kims that appear to make it awesome to watch and earn our respect.
I prefer the Summer Olympics too. There are too many subjectively judged events but there are amazing athletes who have dedicated 4 years or for some of them most of their lives just to be there. I respect the hell out of that. What part of PA are you from Ash?
Jasmine could very well be the most attractive girl ever here. She was really inhibited her first time here and opened up a little more her second time. Third time a charm in the big room?
