Is it possible that Alberto gets off on the thought that Martina is getting laid by someone else. It has been mentioned a few times that she tells him everything that she does or gets up to. Apparently that is a thing some people like. It would kind of explain his lack of concern regarding her playing around. All this about Alberto sitting on his ass doing nothing? (Surely being at home on RLC was his job, so obviously getting paid!! otherwise the apartment would have been empty a third of the day) maybe it was in their contract that someone had to be at home the majority of the time, as Martina was going to collage/ University that was on him, it seems a bit of a co-incidence that Martina finishes her exams and he then gets a 'job' almost straight away. So now he has two jobs, RLC and performing on camera almost every day, despite being with his partner over ten years, and his gardening job.

Maybe life is looking good to him. He is getting paid to nail Martina as much as he wants to, getting paid to do his day job, (maybe he is one of those blokes who gets off on knowing that she goes out and has sex with different partners, presuming that she does of course, she might be going to an all night knitting club or the like) :) It is a bit of a pisser that he has to cook when he gets home as well, (unless it is his choice to), as she has been doing sod all day that i've seen. (I'm not a subbed so I don't see much, in the interest of full disclosure). :)
