no sir, never believed in one night stands. i'm a believer in being connected to a person, someone i love and want to spend time with before having meaningless sex. -
how long have you been smoke free?

i'm 42, and what you just said might have given me enough incentive quit. as of right now my teeth are still white and my gums seem to be fine. i really do need to quit though, it's gotten so expensive and when you go through a can a day it adds up.

an idiot if you ask me -
absolutely, sitting around getting fat is not an option in my opinion. i totally understand your situation and need to get out and your dog while getting in some exercise for yourself. if i had a dog, i of course wouldn't be able to time myself for reasons you stated above. the only reason i time myself is to have a benchmark of where i'm at and that allows me to take a walk before i have to do something or go somewhere. i know it takes me about one hour to walk 5 miles, give or take 1 to 2 minutes. for example, if the wife tells me we need to be somewhere at a certain time, i know i have 1.5 hours to take my walk, get a shower and get dressed before we have to leave. mind you, that is only if i haven't already taken my walk in the early hours of the morning and i need to get it in. i try to walk 30 miles a week and a minimum of 20 miles per week. it's like anything else in life, if you slack off too much eventually you will quit doing it. i guess i could get a dog and see how that works out but i like having the time to myself to think during that 5 mile walk in total peace. it has been good for my business with some of the ideas i've come up with while doing it. i'm glad there is at least you that gets out and walks instead of being a couch potato!
