I didn't see that thread. But I suspect a lot of it has to do with the heavy traffic coming from Reddit. After it's cooled off a bit in a day or so it will probably work.

This site is streaming 73,000 cameras from around the world. It sounds like most of them are unsecured IP cameras. Props to Reddit for the find.
