Not in Canada...no private health care
-
I happen to agree...I like Trump's honesty. I like people who tell the truth and are not agenda driven. Obama, while seemingly a nice guy and well spoken was a media and celebrity sensation. He was terrible for Canada and set our economy back years by not approving those pipelines. At the same time he was approving other pipelines every day while maintaining his persona as some kind of environmentalist. Trump...well he just bulldosed his way through NAFTA and other trade agreements without consideration. He helped trudeau get re-elected again.

I'm getting a real "going to be some gay cock sucking" vibe from this. Surely a RLC first and the completion of the morf into VHTV.

The problem is that the US is so isolated, yet wants and does run the world. Because you are so isolated from the rest of the world, you vote without any regard. People in the US have no understanding of anything outside of their border. I know I'm generalizing, but the rest of the world gets up in arms when you elect idiots like Trump and Obama.
-
Then again as the world statesman that you claim to be...you would know what publications are in Canada right? lol
-
I live 35 miles from the border...I am able to watch all four evening news casts each night and I do. I see MSNBC, FOX and CNN. I also watch Bloomburg. I guarantee that nobody 35 miles from my house on the other side of the border bothers to watch our news. They live in a big self absorbed bubble. So be it. For fun, i watch the BBC news and ITV every night. I watched your election night coverage till the wee hours. I was giddy over it...lol. As well I watch the CBC and CTV news here in Canada. We have three national newspapers here in Canada. I read them all. One is left one is slightly less left and one is slightly conservative.

Then again, when I'm in the US, I see americans reading the USA today for their news. I want to puke.

Trust me...I see it when I'm there frequently. Last week. Trump is going to win again!

B2 Girls on Vacation - General Topic 2020 #1
maxfactor replied to StnCld316's topic in B#2 Astra, Savaira, Medusa (08/02/16)
I thought he left...WTF is he doing back? He's like an infection that won't go away FFS -
He reads the NYT, Washington Post and watches CNN...lol

By the way ...how is the NHS doing in the UK? It's supplemented by private HC. In other words...if you don't like the NHS, you can go to a private hospital. Hardly an endorsement for the NHS...lol

Fixed it for ya

The same insurance companies that I had to deal with when my house flooded? They are going to decide what they are going to pay (or not) for my heart attack? Um...no thanks.

The Monarchy has presided over an empire and commonwealth that has done very well for itself for the most part. Not counting some of the third world countries like India and some in Africa, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are as free and just a great places to live as the us...in some ways better...some not so much. But a total of over 125 million people in the CANZUK states live quite well under the monarchy.

How is giving away free stuff going to help the debt? In any country?

One thing that the Us has always had going for it is critical mass...the population, the lack of separatism, (Texas doesn't count) the fact that in order to move the ball, there are over 300 million people to market to all under one roof. Other countries don't have that advantage. I will say that the US is experiencing some of that fractioning...the cities vote very different than the rest. The latino's now number some 60 million people. All of that is putting strain on the cohesion that once was the US strength.

Raising taxes is not a detailed plan. It's the socialist way for everything
-
No...the last election saved the country from a gang of socialist loons
-
Like I said...you learned that the monarchy is bad...nuff said
-
the monarchy is far more complexed than that...your simplification is American influenced by your schooling.

As a Canadian, who gets to sit with a view uniquely between the US and the UK...you might just want to clam up. From your posts, you are a Labour supporting, since birth (father before that) completely blinded by your stupid ideology. The labour party and it's ideology was dealt the blow that was needed to shut down that lunatic Corbyn. The fact that you and others who would support that kind of far left thinking is telling of how deep you are in the muk. You do not understand the US, nor do you have the ability to understand it. Welfare, unemployment insurance and health care are privilege's that are not to be abused. For the most part they are in the UK, Canada and other left of centre countries. That said, the US HC system is indeed a cluster fuck and does not serve the people well at all. But a loon like Bernie is not in any way the answer.
-
I live in Canada. I am well aware of how our HC system works. The system works for the most part. The US is far too big and complicated to suddenly change. He is blowing smoke and knows it will never work. As for university, free stuff is fine, but the Greek model and others prove that somewhere the free stuff has to be paid for. If you think that taxing a bunch of billionaires is all that needs to be done, then you do not understand the entrepreneurial spirit of America, human nature nor basic economics. But then again, you are a socialist, so yeah.
