    The house is in the hills/mountains well away from the city center. In fact last year it snowed in the back yard while it was raining in the city on a few occasions.

    In that case, along with the ice queen in B2...this evening is DOA as far as the 'on vacation apartments are concerned. Frank, Jen and Sera are too much to overcome.

    You will recall from your history teacher...Russia was communist for oh a few years anyway. They got rid of religious celebrations. New years became an in between celebratory event ...between regular Christmas on the 25th and orthodox on Jan 7th.

    It's an apartment building...usually not under an individual unit's control

    Because of Russia's history... you know...Communism...as in no religion. They put much more effort into New Years as the start of their celebration. If they are practicing Orthodox, then Jan 7th as well.
