On a related note, I feel very sorry for all the Russian participants in the project who, at the very least, may have lost their apartments (unless they now pay the rent themselves) and an income stream (LifeUnderCam apparently paid $500 a month). At the worst, of course, is the possibility of prosecution like those in Volgograd face. Whatever our personal views on the participants and their activities, they have entertained us very well for a long time. IMHO, none of them deserve to have anything negative happen.

The owners of the voyeur sites may have believed that they had no cause for concern as the Russian TV show DOM-2 had been broadcast nationally with no problems for so long. They were simply copying the format for online viewing. I think that the outcome of the court case will be the make or break for this type of site.
