Awesome.

I'd bet no more than two people on this board could understand the skills and difficulties involved in linking two steam-locomotives together to provide maximum synchronized traction. Terrific video to accompany such relaxing music. Thank you.

Yeah?  Is that right, Mr. Choo-Choo Train?

I'm impressed.

Simply magnificent, as are many others posted here. Karen Kraft, my new bestest buddy(ette)

Anyone here think that, that's easy? Try it. You won't get past the first measure. And that was one of Bach's more simplified compositions.

I take that all back. Unless you are an experienced Organist/Keyboardist, it can be very strenuous to just sit down and play it.

Awesome post, Karen.

I am sorry I was not there to hear such a master play a piece written by a master on an instrument made by masters.

Old cathedrals had a building build by masters in which to worship God; had a pulpit, in which a priest or minister interpreted the words of God; and a pipe organ, which spoke for God.

Damn, that was nice to hear.

Thank you, F.T.  I agree with that spiritual observation.

I'm glad people liked that selection.

Ever since I was little, I used to love the "Little Fugue" in G minor, but I never really liked the way it sounded in original harpsichord for some strange reason.  Anyway, here it is in my favorite (and the most dramatic) performance I've seen to date:

I make the same mistakes

Feels like I never learn

Always give way too much

For little in return

I haven't changed a bit

I'm still not over it

I make the same mistakes

I make the same mistakes

I...

I never did grow up

Feels like I never will

My friends are all adults

I'm still a teenage girl

I haven't changed a bit

I'm still not over it

I make the same mistakes

I make the same mistakes

I...

My friends are all a drag

They think I'm such a flake

They want to go to bed

I want to stay up late

Walking the streets alone

Thinking of you 'til dawn

I make the same mistakes

I make the same mistakes

I...

I make the same mistake

KK.

In response to #273, I'm sure it would have been a lot more dramatic if not run through YouTube. I have a CD of one of my teachers playing this on what is known as the East Coast Crystal Cathedral pipe organ. I will need to copy it to a file and then post it. I can't post things like that in a PM. The software doesn't permit it.

You can also search YouTube for the same piece played by Diane Bish. It is being played on the same organ that I mentioned earlier. Even Virgil Fox' rendition is awesome.
